HICO Dynamic Positioning Centre is established by HICO Marine Consultants Ltd, with assistance of professional consulting SMSS(Smart Marine Solutions and Services Ltd), aiming to provide best training for dynamic positioning operators (DPO) and to provide professional consulting services for DP capable vessels.

A brilliant team comprises of experienced DP operators, international qualified instructors and inspectors are gathered in HICO Marine, as the first professional team in China, to achieve our dream as professionals in DP industry.

The centre awarded accreditation by Nautical Institute in the end of February 2017, authorized as a DP training provider in China, to provide DP training and relevant services.  For the best benefits of all trainees, the centre created unique classes delivered in English conjunction with Chinese, helping trainee who have difficulty in listening and understanding to award DP knowledge as per NI requirements and regulations during the classes.

With demand for DP based operation increase in offshore engineering and oil industry in recent years, more and more DP capable vessels are in operation or under construction in China. Those vessels include Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs), Platform supply vessel (PSV), Offshore Support Vessel (OSV), Diving Support (DSV) , ROV Support Vessels, Cable Laying Vessels, Pipe Laying Ships, Dredgers, Crane Barge, Rock Dumping Vessels, Shuttle Tanker, Floating Production, Storage and Offloading unit (FPSO), Geophysical survey vessel and etc.

With increase of DP capable vessels, safety of dynamic positioning system becomes significantly important to keep the vessel working as designed. Hico Marine, working with world well-known company, is capable to provide professional services including DP annual trial, DP FMEA, etc.
